A Few Tales: Dramatic Incidents Over The Winter of Discontent In The UK is an unusual story. It gives insight into a different time experienced by the country. While it presents usual themes like discrimination and economic despair, the plot of exquisitely arranged to offer a vivid picture through an integrated story.

It describes the plight of African immigrants by using creative leverage. I love how this novel also covers human emotions and our ability to love under all kinds of circumstances. Everyone interested in learning more about the UK of the past few decades should definitely read this novel.

I have read the book A Few Tales by Valukalam Anthony Thomas, and I must say I am quite impressed. My family has an immigrant background and I have heard many stories of the hardships that people of other regions faced when moving to the UK. I find it quite an intriguing read and great for the audience looking to learn more about the challenges of being “different” from the rest.

There are interwoven stories of Emma or Gemma and Jeffrey. You get engrossed in what is happening in different parts of the story – both in the present and the past. I would especially recommend this book to people who want to understand the problems people face when they immigrate from less privileged countries or face problems even in a developed country like the UK.

I always like to read new stuff, especially if it is about the British. Well, “A Few Tales: Dramatic Incidents Over The Winter of Discontent In The UK” has been an excellent read. It has a collection of amazing characters that describe the situation that once prevailed in the UK, with the unions really running the show in the country. It also shows problems with free medical services that were or maybe still prevalent in the UK.

I like how characters like Jeffrey show how challenging it became for a common man even with a good skillset to make ends meet. How kids like Daniella would face discrimination is also pretty intriguing. I urge everyone to read this fantastic book and learn how true love and family will always find a way no matter the circumstances.
